This weekend we were offered a night in the Gatsby Hotel in Blankenberge by Hotelspecials. This is a four stars hotel in the middle of Blankenberge. Centre and beach are only 100m from the hotel. Very convenient, this way you can do everything walking. The hotel also has a private parking, which has to be reserved in advance.
Last year the hotel was completely renewed, all of this in “Great Gatsby” style. Very different from what we are used to, but very fun to do. I have to say the hotel has exceeded my expectations. The rooms are really big, just like the very luxurious bathroom with bath and shower. The bathroom is certainly the eyecatcher of the room. Also important: the king size bed is very comfortable. The minibar filled with cola and water is included in the price.
In each hotel I always look forward to the breakfast. A good stay is never complete without a good breakfast. Like everything in the Gatsby, the breakfast didn’t disappoint. There was alot of choice and everything was very tasty. Lots of different breads and baguettes, many spreads, cornflakes, eggs and bacon, everything you want. All of it are wellknown brands, like Nutella and Kellog’s.
I would highly recommend the Gatsby Hotel to everyone, I’m convinced it’s one of the best hotels in Blankenberge.
What to do in Blankenberge?
We’ve mostly enjoyed the sun and the sea. Nice food in one of the many restaurants on the promenade, a drink in a beachbar and a walk at the harbour. There’s also Sea Life and the Serpentarium, both very close to the hotel and very worth a visit. In the evening you can go for a gamble at the Casino, which is situated on the promenade. You certainly won’t be bored in Blankenberge!
Afgelopen weekend mochten we via Hotelspecials een nachtje verblijven in het Gatsby Hotel in Blankenberge. Het Gatsby hotel is een 4 sterren hotel in het hartje van Blankenberge. Het centrum en het strand liggen op 100 meter van het hotel. Super makkelijk, want je kan alles rustig te voet doen. Het hotel heeft ook een privé parking, deze moet je op voorhand wel reserveren.
Het hotel is vorig jaar volledig gerenoveerd en het is helemaal in 'Great Gatsby stijl'. Iets anders dan wat we normaal gewent zijn, maar echt super leuk om eens te doen. Ik moet eerlijk zeggen dat het hotel echt wel mijn verwachtingen overtrof. De kamers zijn echt heel groot in het Gatsby hotel, net zoals de enorm luxueuze badkamer met bad én douche. De badkamer is echt wel de blikvanger van de kamer. Ook niet onbelangrijk, het bed is enorm comfortabel en echt heel groot. Ook een leuk extraatje, de minibar met water en Cola is inbegrepen!
Iets waar ik in elk hotel enorm naar uitkijk: het ontbijt! Een leuk verblijf is echt niet compleet zonder een lekker ontbijt vind ik. Gelukkig was het ontbijt hier super lekker en echt enorm uitgebreid. Je hebt verschillende soorten brood en broodjes, een uitgebreide keuze in beleg, cornflakes, eitjes met spek, alles voor een lekker ontbijt. Ook weer een pluspunt, het zijn allemaal merkproducten zoals Nutella & Kellogg's. Ik kan je een verblijf in het Gatsby hotel zeker aanraden, ik ben er van overtuigd dat dit 1 van de betere hotels in Blankenberge is.
Wat te doen in Blankenberge?
Wij hebben vooral genoten van het zonnetje en de zee. Lekker eten in één van de vele restaurantjes op de dijk, een drankje in de beachbar en een wandeling langst de haven. In Blankenberge heb je ook Sea Life en het Serpentarium, allebei trouwens vlakbij het hotel. 'S avonds kan je een gokje gaan wagen in het mooie casino op de zeedijk. Je zal je zeker niet vervelen in Blankenberge!
